This is not a metaphor. You are being bought and sold. Your clicks pay someone else’s bills. Corporations make billions off your time. They crave your focus. They own you every second you stare at a screen.
You crave validation. They know it. They group you by belief. They pen you in with people who agree with you. They spoon-feed you sameness. They fatten you up for profit.
It stalks your habits. It watches every move. It shows you what keeps you addicted. Want rage? You get more rage. Smug self-righteousness? Here, have some more. Every swipe makes the cage tighter.
You think you’re strong? Try listening to someone you hate. You probably can’t. You mute, you block, you unfollow. That’s not strength. That’s fear. You’re afraid of being wrong. You’re afraid of thinking. They see your fear.
Not the customer. The product. If you’re not paying, you’re inventory. Your mind is for sale. Your personality is a commodity. Your data is the price of your comfort.
Every echo chamber shrinks your brain. You lose empathy. You lose perspective. You lose friends. You lose family. Was the comfort worth it?
You can stop. You can step outside the pen. You can listen to new ideas. You can argue. You can think for yourself. But you have to want it. Or just keep scrolling. Stay predictable. Stay profitable. Stay sold.
Share this if you’re tired of being someone else’s product.
